The MSAT Student Handbook contains the policies and procedures as it relates to matriculated students’ academic, clinical, and professional responsibilities. In addition, the MSAT degree program ensures the rights and responsibilities of program students by complying with the Americans with Disabilities Act (ADA) and protects the health and safety of both clients/patients and the MSAT Student. These policies and procedures include, but are not limited to:

  • Emergency cardiac care training requirement
  • Blood-borne pathogen protection and exposure plan procedures
  • Calibration and maintenance of equipment according to manufacturer guidelines
  • Communicable and infectious disease transmission procedures
  • Immunization requirements for students
  • Patient/client privacy protection (FERPA and HIPAA)
  • Academic dishonesty policy
  • Grievance policy
  • Matriculation requirements
  • Nondiscrimination policies
  • Policies for student withdrawal and refund of tuition and fees
